More Than a Meal
More Than a Meal is the flagship program for Moms Making Moves. We provide meals, care items, seasonal gear, and a little love to low income and homeless families in the South Charlotte/Fort Mill areas.
Since its inception in 2016, more than 10,000 meals have been made and distributed to those in need. On a monthly basis, meals are made and hand delivered by local volunteers. Depending on the season, you can expect anything from peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to a full holiday setup. All items used and distributed are donated by members of the community.

In addition to delicious home made meals, More Than a Meal also provides the community with care items and seasonal gear. Some examples of passouts include Halloween Costumes, Coats/Hats/Scarves, and the Toy and Book Drive.

Care Closet
Rent is due, you are in between jobs, and you have a family to take care of. You have applied for assistance but it doesn't start for another 30days. You have asked friends and family for help, but you are still stuck. This is where the M3 Care Closet can assist.
​
The Care Closet works with families who have a short term need and no where else to turn. We provide families with ONE TIME food and toiletry help that is larger than what More Than a Meal can offer. It is not meant to be a long term solution, but a bandaid until you can find consistent long term help.

Items provided depend on closet availability, but may include toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, diapers, sanitary supplies, non perishable foods, sand school supplies. If and when there are specific needs, they can be requested but are not guaranteed.
